Welcome to ARMED & RIDICULOUS – a comedy collective from Brooklyn, New York
Big ‘tings are happening in the secret Armed & Ridiculous underground lair.
First off, our short film “The Underground” was recently screened at the 2007 Jilted Film Festival in Tribeca. We actually won the “IT’S NOT YOU, IT’S US” Award, which consisted of lollipops and booze! No diggity.
A second piece of news is that we recently appeared on the NYC show, “The Director’s Chair”. We were interviewed by the host, Q104.3 DJ Jonathan Clarke, and our movie was screened in its entirety. The entire episode is available as a free vidcast on iTunes. Simply click on this link on a computer with iTunes installed and then choose “episode 22″.

Futhermore, if you haven’t seen the new video from John & Mark’s post-geek-synth-rock band, PUPPETBOX, check it out! It’s been viewed thousands of times on various online video sites, and was a featured video by the editorial staff at Grouper.com!

In other news, A&R’s short film “The Underground” was screened as an official selection in the 2006 Queens International Film Festival. The screening went swimmingly well, despite the awful weather on that particular night.
In even more wonderful news, Armed & Ridiculous snagged a 2nd place finish in the MTV LABS DESKTOP FILM FESTIVAL for our short films, “Mark’s Adventures in Dating”. All three parts of “Mark’s Adventures in Dating” can be viewed in their entirety on our Multimedia page.
In addition, A&R is presently filming a few new sketches, with one that even includes puppets! And everyone knows that puppets=comic genius.
We are also in full-scale development of a sitcom that is going to blow your mind. (and hopefully the minds of development executives this spring)
